3

FAQ

Do I need an account? Can I use the videos commercially?
No account or sign-up is needed. You can use your videos on YouTube, TikTok and other social media, in presentations and in class materials, for commercial or non-commercial purposes. Please credit GraphRace Studio (the name or a link) in the video or its description.
How should I format my CSV or Excel file?
Column A holds the item names (countries, brands, people…), column B an optional image URL, and every column after that holds the values for one period, with the year or date in the first row. Try the sample to see the exact layout.
Can I download the bar chart race as a video?
Yes. Press “Save video” under the preview (or “Export video” in the settings panel) to export an MP4 or WebM file. MP4 plays on iPhone and Android. Your data and settings are also saved in your browser, so you can pick up where you left off.
Does it work on phones?
Yes, it works in phone and tablet browsers such as Chrome and Safari, and you can make vertical 9:16 videos for Shorts and TikTok. If a video won’t save inside an app like Instagram or X, open the page in Safari or Chrome instead.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. Your data is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers.
My data doesn’t show up correctly. What should I check?
Make sure the file is CSV or .xlsx, the columns are in the right order, and the value columns contain only numbers (no currency symbols or text). Starting from the sample and replacing its data is the easiest way to avoid errors.
